Salman Khan breaks silence on death threats (X/@Spotboye)
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has been receiving constant death threats openly from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, recently spoke about if the threats bothered him. He said he believes in God and will live as long as his predestined lifespan permits. Salman Khan speaks of death threats during Sikandar release
Salman, busy at the moment promoting his Eid release Sikandar, was spotted meeting with a group of media in Mumbai. In response to these threats, the actor uttered, "Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai" (God and Allah are taking care. However much lifespan has been written down, that is how much is left. That's it)."
Following a couple of death threats and an episode of firing at his home near Bandra in Mumbai, security for the actor has been highly enhanced. Complaining that he is always accompanied by security guards, Salman responded, "Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hail (Sometimes, having to lead so many people together becomes the only problem)."
He disclosed that he now only moves between his home and workplace. "I am not concerned when I am with the press, but when I am without the press, that cramps my style. Now it's all about Galaxy (home) to shoot and from shoot to Galaxy (home), nothing else." the 59-year-old said. In 2018, Lawrence Bishnoi had made a public threat to kill Salman when he appeared in court in Jodhpur, and he asserted, "We will kill Salman Khan. Everybody will know once we will do something. I haven't done anything so far; they are blaming me for nothing."
The gangster has been keen on avenging himself on the actor for supposedly slaying Black Buck while shooting for Hum Saath Saath Hain. Black Buck is also the icon of respect of the Bishoni people. Additionally, his brother Anmol had been made to shoulder the blame of the attack on Salman Khan's house last year. Salman Khan, in the meantime, is waiting for the release of his mass-actioner Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film will be out on March 30, with Kajal Aggarwal and Rashmika Mandanna also playing central roles.
